Featured Replies

Good day,

At 800 t/min voltage at battery born is 14V88.

At 2000t/min voltage is 17V50. too hight:mad:

Aftet few minutes abs and break light goes on on front panel

What is wrong :

alternator, battery , regulator

pls I need help

Alternator.

The regulator on the alternator should limit the maximum voltage to be less than 15.

Above this voltage you will boil the battery, and may well damage expensive parts on the car (ECU).

On some alternators you can replace the voltage regulator seperately (cheaper), dunno 'bout the octy tho' i'm afraid.

It's a Felicia :P

I would replace the alternator / regulator asap. Continuing to use the car with the voltage rising that high will kill the battery and damage the ECU and other voltage sensitive devices.

not to hijack your thread, but my battery warning light stays on on my dash. checked battery and atlernator. drove from stoke to cornwall no worries, light went out then came back on...any ideas?

First, very difficult de find the spare.

I am electronic technicien for tv set not for car...

As you say, it would be easy to replace the regulator pack, if it was available anywhere.

I got a "magneton" branded one from a good independent auto electrical shop for a fraction of the price Skoda wanted for the identical thing, but it was still over 100 UKP
