18in Audi's on vRS?

Featured Replies

Last week I had my vRS lowered 25mm on Eibacks and 17's. I've seen that you can get 215/35/18 audi s8 replicas and they really do look the part! What I really want to know is if the 18's will happily go on without any rubbing etc and if the car will go back to the stilts look again?!!!

My current pics (before and after eibachs) are below (also in another thread)....

All the best and a happy new year!

AFAIK they will fit but the tyres will be rubber bands and they will rub on lock.

They won't do the handling or the ride any good.

IIRC someone had some 18" Golf BBS alloys on the Fabia, no rubbing whatsoever, he just needed some ludicrous profile on the tyres, different on the front/back. Decron is right about the ride quality, it will go downhill, and I cannot imagine the handling will be as good.

Hi, Just an observation ,when I got my Fabia VRS it had 17" alloys and the ride/handling was ok, but when I put the standard 16" on the ride/handling was great. My advice stick to 16" instead of BLING-BLING.

Handling I found was vastly improved when i re-fitted my original 16s.

Another vote for 16's (with a massive drop though :) )
