Washer Fluid

Featured Replies

See now thats why I use the 69p does 25 litres stuff.

I have to fill my tank up every 2 weeks!

The woman behind the desk said, Volkswagen?, Audi? or Mercedes?

So that translates to normal price, expensive or foo kin expensive then.:D

That's about what I pay Ray, been using it ever since I've owned Skoda's.

I have several spare empty bottles and mix it 4:1. Fill an empty bottle up to the 250ml mark and then fill with water.

I hate to be a pedant (well actually i don't, I love it :D ), but assuming your empty spare bottles are 1l, then that's actually 3:1. (4:1 means there are 5 parts in total, so to fit in to a litre bottle, each part would have to be 200ml)

Runs off and hides.......

As this is my first refill, and after 6 months and 4,500 miles I am happy to pay for the pukka stuff..

How have you managed to get away with never filling your bottle for so long?

I've lost count how many times I've filled mine and I'm not always using the headlight washers.

Agreed though the branded stuff is very good, accepted for warranty and I feel not bad value for money.

Had to fill mine twice in 5000 miles, with standard sized washer bottle (2.5l?) fitteld

It must be the lemon fresh smell thats turning me into a washing bandit :D

A 3 page thread on screen wash!! You've got to be sh**ting!

If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes I'd swear this was a p!$$ take.

If you buy the non-Skoda stuff can you add it to the list as a modification?

:orb_laugh

Crazy isn't it.

3 pages for something so obviously non-essential.

Next they'll be doing pages and pages on tyres and wipers and things......

My fabia is coming up to a year old and this is the first time I have had to refill it. I didn't fill it up completely just in case it's done on it's first service.

aaaaaaaaahahahahaha, I've not read anything quite so stupid in ages

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Go get him Pixi

I think I have manage to not use the spray so much as the Winter has been so wet, what with the continual rain.

I only drive to work and back during the week (about 20 miles each way) and tend to clean the screen as i leave home, and once as I leave work. Of course on the way home it's dark so the lights are on and the headlight sprayers go too.

Ironically i think the headlight washers use more then the screen ones.

As we have recently had some more dryer days I seem to be forever cleaning the screen now - so perhaps I'll be cursing and refilling next week !

It's good sport to use the headlight washers when passing cyclists and pedestrians. :P

Should make this an Olympic sport, I'd get a gold, apart from the wife telling me off when i do it.

Or park in the college car park, and fire your rear wiper spray at dirty students

Used to do this on my polo as the nozzle shot straight up into the air becuase it was damaged by ch@vs who thought putting my window through together with 15 other cars was a laugh.

Actually I would say yes. If you don't buy the proper stuff and have a problem don't expect to get it fixed under warranty.
