What Brake Upgrade Are You Using?

Featured Replies

Come on peeps!

List and post a pic of your upgrades.

Need to change my discs and pads soon and a power increase is on the cards, im looking to fit bigger discs upfront and was wondering if there was an off the shelf kit or a bolt on conversion using other cars parts bins?

Obviously anything can be made to fit, but i would prefer less hassle!

Im currently running deep-dish 15's so i have a bit more room than standard.

TIA

look for my post "sexy discs". there zerosixty and the can get them from awsome tuning. thay work well but munch pads. you can get some up-rated pads from EBC. i also got a set of 35mm lowering springs from butts of bawtry (see "low life") and an induction kit. the thicker anti-roll bar is on order, and i am looking for a fast road cam at the mo. guna start chopping the exhust about in the new year and put a janspeed back box on.

not guna do any exteria mods, after all its a pink skoda, let the performance speek for itself, thats what i say.

good luck with yours, keep us up to date.

Are the discs you have still solid?

Im looking for something vented.

there solid with grooves and dimples. but trust me, there all you need. to have vented ones, your looking at getting wider calipers. thers not much point the solids have all the power your ever guna need. you can put discs on the back, see the post about the "vr6 felicia" there are some pics of one with rear discs.

Dunno if its worth putting rear discs on such a light car,

might have a pop at getting some relocating brakets made up for the calipers if i cant get anything "off the peg".

What induction kit you using "pink"?

the kit im using is of a 1.6 colt, with some custom stainless steel mounts and piping. just get a kit for a similar size moter and make it fit, as it is hard to get one for a skud.

whitch engine is yours and what year? mine is a 1.6 glxi hatch, 98.

I got a 1.3 MPI estate with a few tasteful mods, engine to come-bought as a daily to keep the miles off my Octy RS.
