Whats so Good about Freedom?

I have one thanks and no - reviewing an ISA server rules is not much fun when i am obviously hitting your sore notes and feel the need to defend myself everytime one of you posts due to your sheer incorrect rubbish you feel the need to post and feel like you are adding to the already many attempts at doing so...

Get a job / life yourself - your doing the same as me aren't you - plank...

I have some spelling / grammer mistakes in my posts and know this - but the sheer amount of posts i have here now - im not ammending every one...

lol

Can you lot not just admit - im right - your wrong - freedom payment is pointless unless you own a skoda - and i am fully justified and entitled to say this despite knowing im hitting a sore note to a majority on here - but maybe this as mentioned should be yet another (as apparently im not the first to say so either) kick up the **** for the site owner and mods etc to oull thier finger out and get inline with other membership plans that do not require as much money to join - yet have much better benefits.

If you dont like it - perhaps trying to "support" the site by offering your assistance in some way to the owner / mods - rather than make it a hate filled place where petty arguments are started over a small bit of criticism, then the freedom membership may actually be worthwhile to a larger audience than just skoda owners and thus making more money from a wider audience - again it's win - win...

Or is that too hard to accept with a pinch of salt and someone to admit im right?

Call me what you want, although you seem unable to think of any other insults than 'idiot' I'm so hurt......

If you hadn't noticed, it is your own immature and self-righteous attitude that has resulted in these replies to your quite frankly useless, pointless and bandwidth wasting post. How come it has taken FIVE WHOLE PAGES of people explaining to you what freedom is for and yet you STILL DONT UNDERSTAND??

I couldn't give a rats a55 what your oh so wonderful polo forum gives you - because I don't have a polo!! I know that the full membership on passion ford is £25 - to me thats too much, so I never joined it - It really IS that simple.

We dont NEED a membership card to get our discount, so we don't have one. Most of us aren't money grabbin losers who are only out for ourselves. someone has taken the time and effort to make us a forum and WE APPRECIATE that and don't expect anything back!! How is this hard for you to understand? Were you not brought up with morals, politeness and generosity? Apparently not.

Funny really, you call me all those names and make so many assumptions, yet find me 3 examples of these whole five pages of someone who does not agree with me.....

Go and find something worthwhile to do with your not-so-precious time, you pointless waste of space

thanks

Exactly my point - you dont need a card because you have no discounts for anything other than mod group buys under freedom - which is my whole point and reason for starting the post....

Or are you not reading what im saying?

Your also taking up pointless bandwidth - by not being able to assist in anyway - and moaning yourself,

Thanks

Dave

Oh for goodness sakes stop trolling will you!

Look if you don't think the £12 is justified for you don't join, you don't have to!

I have been on here for a good while, i find people have been welcoming and very helpful in sorting out problems with my car.

At the moment I haven't joined freedom as I just don't have the £12 spare, however I will most likely doing when I can. The £12 would be my thank you towards paying for the cost of the site, for the hundreds of pounds they have saved me over the time i have been on here.

Now seriously if you prefer the polo site, then use that, if you see no benefit from briskoda stop using it. If you want to read and post on here that's cool, but just be friendly and people will be friendly back.

Now please stop it, I think it has been made clear that there are discounts for freedom members and you get a sticker, but if you want more, and you feel freedom doesn't offer it, don't sign up.

Either that or I can put you in touch with a hosting company who will do good rates on collocated servers if you wish to try running a forum yourself.

I have the right contacts to run a forum if i felt the need...

However stating that you are correct - im not the owner of his site - yet even he cannot post a public justification where and whats in the pipeline to make freedom membership more worth while...

I wanted to join - but as said didn't see any benefits to be had - thus thought i would state this to enable you to make more money - but thats the only concern here anyway - making money - so ill keep my £12 as i cannot see what it is going toward...

Other than the free forum features - and as mentioned will make a donation for - yet no-one - nor can i find on the site an easy way to do so - show me how to make a contribution - another problem i would like to point out....

Lords sake im not trolling - trying to help - thanks anyway for your post.

when all im trying to do is found out why on earth you have bad attitudes now - wether they be toward me, my posts and/or the fact that no-one can tell me why (other than to "support" the site) that i should join freedom

Do you not think that maybe it is your attitude that is getting peoples' backs up? I'm sure you've had a look around the site. We're all quite civilised most of the time aren't we? What's different about the threads you've posted in...?

I think you've made some valid points in some of your posts. But your "my site is better than yours" attitude isn't doing you any favours. Most of us appreciate this site (a lot) and the hard work that has gone into it - even those that have had a bad Skoda experience, and we will defend it and the way it is run.

The reason no-one has told you why you should join Freedom is because there is no reason why you SHOULD join Freedom. It is entirely your choice. Most people value the site, and most Freedom members pay up to give something back.

im not the owner of his site - yet even he cannot post a public justification where and whats in the pipeline to make freedom membership more worth while...

Support the Site - Get a bit more in return!

But surely having good benefits offered to freedom members will increase revenue from more members - support the site more - and enhance your forum even more...

Or does no-one else see my logic here?

I admit it may very well be the way in which i have posted that gets peoples backs up - but i didn't start off by saying that freedom is **** and not justifying my reasons - i stated i wanted to know why it was worth the money - not asking for a mouthful of ****e from a bunch of apparent "nice" people who appear to be getting the **** on with me proving them wrong - freedom is intended to be a "non compulsory" membership - however when freedom members want to post up details and request that other discuss a car they cannot see - thats a bit shoddy inmho....

does no-one agree?

I think its time to put this thread to bed...

also everyone please dont forget the site rules.

PLEASE NOTE - PERSONAL ABUSE, ABUSE AGAINST THIS OR ANY OTHER WEBSITE OR ANY COMPANY WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. OFFENDERS WILL BE MODERATED OR EVEN BANNED.

I wanted to join - but as said didn't see any benefits to be had - thus thought i would state this to enable you to make more money - but thats the only concern here anyway - making money - so ill keep my £12 as i cannot see what it is going toward...

The membership money doesn't go to Colin...it covers the costs of running the site e.g. we recently had to get a new server...not cheap.

For this...as probably has been stated eariler...you do get some extra features...email account, advertising space for selling items, extra space in the gallery etc.

If you would like to see some other features for your membership, please make some suggestions....it will be looked into.

As was said earlier"Freedom" is not for everyone...but like I said...it really does go to cover the costs of running the site. If you prefer to make a donation that's more the welcome as well.

Dave,

Apologies for the delay in responding, I was fixing a leak that had been undiscovered for a while.

I've already replied to a post of yours, cleary you did not read it. When you have you will see I have already stated you may pm me any constructive comments.

Freedom is not compulsory, it is for the publically stated aims. The value of it, well thats subjective, for me with a non site owner hat on it's quite good, for others it needs improving and it is. Tom, that quote is out of date now as I updated it yesterday afternoon on the main pages ;)

As to your final comment, again I've already replied to that. As to other comments, a few are fair and I've begun to look into them, who knows what that might bring.
