thx lads, as im in ireland, no Octy traffic cars here, do the cop cars have Xenons and/or the WRC wing?

No. in short, std RS build and spec, but lots of buttons and extra ICE gear...

There is a difference somewhere in the vRS and WRC setup...All I can deduce then is that it's ESP...

Which is a dealer option on SEAT's.

Know what you mean about coilovers (But variable height ;) )

Xenons on cop cars...

I assume as a discharge lamp, xenons have a slight "warm-up" period?

Therefore they wouldnt be practical in a police car, due to the need for flashing headlights...

The above is of course, the opinion of a thick sparky. ie me :D

Our L&K has xenon dip with conventional main beam so this system would be OK for a plodmobil

Interesting..

Anyway, they get enough toys to play with without having xenons too :)

Just get the KW3's and have done with it.

Would love to Des, but just too expensive for a consumable ;):D

was told by a dealer that the police cars they supplied in staffordshire were chipped to 260bhp, and "tweeked" (he didnt say what though) how true this was i dont know...

also told over the weekend on a blast down to newquay and back with the Renault Sports Club that my octy vRS looked lower on the move than it did standing still, again dont know how true this was but maybe the aerodynamics of the car push it alittle lower at speed to aid handling. This would be greater on the WRC due to the rear spoiler which may explain the better handling experienced... just a thought really nothing techinal or proven about it.

Is the wing on the WRC versions not the same as the normal vRS?

Except where modified to be the Butt's type large wing?

But as ti that larger wing, don't know as I did not drive without it, but it "looks" like it does help, althouh drag aswell. That "look" is based on watching spray paths :D
