13.5 million had points added to their licence in 2006

There was an article on The Register - apparently due to a loophole in the law, if you change lanes between cameras they can't prosecute.

But thats different than technically defeating the SPECs. It won't be long until that loophole is closed, and they won't advertise the fact that it's been closed.

True, I wouldn't risk it, not worth it!

when I insured my car I asked the insurance company how much it would be if I had a speeding conviction ,the answer they gave me was it would be no change if it was a 3 point ,less than 10 mph above limit .They also told me that 82% of their insured had a single speeding conviction and this is the rac .

Sorry but it's the absolute kn*b heads who have NO lights on at all during thick fog that I find the most annoying.

whoa where did that come from

Sorry!

ScoobyChris said he found use of foglights annoying. OK fog lights in clear conditions is mildly annoying, but no lights during fog is dangerous.

I promise to now get down from my high horse.

Just stuck up SPECs cameras on the Exeter stretch of the M5. :rolleyes: Warning to all those coming down on hols who usually charge the last bit of the M5.... If you must charge through, just change lanes. ;)

Is that in roadworks?

Current SPECS sites listed here;

Speed Check Services

M5 at Exeter not listed though.

Is that in roadworks?

Yes, both directions around Junction 29. There are confirmed reports of camera vans as well particularly on the Northbound carriage way before Junction 29 itself, parked inbetween the Highways Agenct vehicles, with a clear view of the third lane.
