Yep thats right

I think the Mk I Octy has a 55 litre fuel tank

The VRs Might have a 55 Litre tank, but my 52 reg (2002) 1.9 Tdi has only got a 47 litre tank

04 tdi(110) has a 55 litre tank, be surprised if they cahnged the size at some point.

Mine does about 550 miles per tank average (1.9tdi 110bhp) if thats any use whatsoever.

Its a good car - a bit sluggish compared to most nice audis and beamers so dont try racing any! Sluggish overtaker compared to the 2 litre petrol I had b4....

On the bright side.....good for 53mpg average. so i fill her up once every 2 weeks at about 30 sick squid.

Not very characterful - laurent and Klement is a nicer spec to go for over the elegance that I have.

Will probably go for an audi 2.5 tdi A4 or A6 or a 320/330 beamer however theres always that nagging no hatchback scenario when you need to haul a widescreen telly or a bike.

The tech spec booklet that came with my 2001 shows all FWD are 55 with 7 reserve and the AWD is 63 with 7 reserve.

but the reserve is purely when the fuel light comes on, not extra tank.

yes - that is how I read it - the 7 is when the warning light comes on...
