I just got pulled by the Police...

Featured Replies

He let me off, and we had a bit of a laugh about it, mostly because of the CPS element.

Another case of the rozzers looking out for their own:rofl:

:D

I was on this bit of road tonight, passing some time between work finishing and tennis session at 8pm. It's like an ice rink! Sand has blown all over the place during a storm and there's no grip at all really. Some thin tramlines, that's about it. Anyone doing 45 down there needs help... I did 30 and I wasn't that happy. Nice to eat chips in your car by the sea though - something therapeutic about the sound of crashing waves.

Ah, but it is windier tonight that it was last night. Also I started right at the far end (by the cliff or dog beach) so there was very little sand)

I never said I wasn't an idiot.

Not having a go at you per-se. ;) I could have got up to 45 but dread to think how long I would take to stop.

The sand has been there for ages, and I'm expecting fresh piles after Thursday as a big storm is forecast to come in, :thumbdwn:

I did not have to stop, only drop to about 20mph to do the bumps.

It was fine, according to my talex I hit 45mph, I was aiming for 60mph. I was braking very hard to do it

Look I am not terribly proud of it, as I said I was being an a$$. I am not going to defend it as such. Dead straight bit of road, clearly lit with no walkers/dogs/children around. Was having a bit of fun, doubt I would remember it esspecially had it not been for being pulled for it.

Do you know the road that crosses Woodbury common that links Exmouth to Budleigh/Aylesbeare/Ottery etc? That is one of my favourite bits of road to drive, and time myself across.

Goes past Mansell's golf course right? I know it :D

Would that be his 'Driving Range' then??

you are very lucky.....

i went through a phase of being stopped almost every day by the local *****tables..... i got so fed up with producing my documents that i photocopied my documents and left a copy at the local police station...... strange i never ever got stopped again (by the local lot anyway) after that

 Brilliant love it, I should have done that, would have saved me so much time.

Emily, wasnt the other half a bit jealous that you were pulled by a policeman , or haven't you told him yet? ;):D

I have used the range there though. Work plays up there once a week during the summer. Nice course, even the "lesser" 9 hole one is quite good,

Quite the opposite - CPS stands for Criminal Pardon Service - They didn't get off when the old 'old bill' did thier own prosecutions :P

You mean back when they said "he's a thieving little , but we've no evidence. Ok, let's make some!"? ;)

Absolutely right.......

At least it went to court - not file 13 without regard to the distress caused to the complainant or injured party.......... or because it was on the top third of the pile of cases to be dealt........... :P

Emm Be careful what you post here - Remember our friend paul and his Skyline tree tumble. Police are actually after him now... Crash of 2007.... - Page 42 - SMCC forums

And No I'm not condoning any illegal action for any police reading this.....

:iagree:

I read the start and the end of that thread... Apparently there's a lot of bickering involved in the middle which I get to see enough of on Scoobynet

Hope he gets a fright from the BiB and learns not to do it again.

J.

Emily, what was the speed limit on the road like? You failed to mention that part (either that or my eyes are playing up:eek: )

Edit: Just read the thread about the sussexcarz guy - Bloody legendry!!!

I think we need one of our members to do something similar to boost membership:P

I went through the whole of the thread yesterday, took ages! Some of the stuff in the middle is hysterical when people sign up just to rip into the original poster.
