So can i get this right sarah, which Octy has the 312mm Discs, the MK I VRS did i know, but what about the MK II.

I'm just wondering of the possibility of a conversion from stock brakes on an elegance to VRS brake set up, esp with a crashed VRS TDI just appearing at a certain breakers yeard.

I guess what i am asking is can i 312mm convert these and if so which parts would i need to buy and how much labour would it be?

Thats ok I asked at skospares about the callipers and discs off the 9kmiles crashed VRS TDI, and at £420 for the parts, plus new pads i think i'll wait a bit and just try uprated pads first

How much are the decent pads for the Octy II (non VRS then sarah), bearing in mind I want them E-marked, so the DS2500 are out :(

Tarox ones are not e marked

They was saying that they can only be 15% better or worse to have an e mark , and Tarox pads are better

I have found that Mintex Extreams are emarked and I am expecting a message back soon to see if they do them for the MK2 Octy`s

I would be interested, but after the mess with the hit and run and my insurance going through the roof I need to make sure I play everything by the rules, exactly as I did before. I don't want the insurance co to ever have any excuse.

Would be interested to hear about the mintex pads as mintex/pagid/texar are all TMD friction group and UK made iirc.

So £49 + VAT is for the front pads I assume, what about the rears, and are these the C-MAX compounds (the 1144 is IIRC E marked) or is this just their OEM compound.

Sorry Sarah, my bad, I was under the impression you could get uprated pads that were still E Marked as per CMAX-1144 compound and pagid blue etc.

I'll get the car and see the condition of what is on it, then get back to you guys with further info

But you can only uprate to a certain degree
