Featured Replies

I'm getting over 1000 spam emails a day .......mainly returned emails that I have sent...when i'm not online!!!

I suspect that someone is using my email address.....any ideas what I can do??

Absolutely nothing .....well almost .....I am still getting these type of e-mails after 2 years...they send out spam with your address as the return address so when it is marked as spam and returned .....guess who gets it all  ....you can try and contact whoever supplies your e-mail and see what they can do....but whatever you do don't try and contact the original sender or they will know that address is "live" and you will get even more

Change your email address - notify friends & essentials i.e. service providers, bank, building society etc. - and then, thereafter be careful to what you submit to on the Net.

I changed mine 2 years ago - after trying all the Spam programs. Now I get three spam a week, from the one same place.

unfortunately my email address is unique...it reflects the line of work I am in...and is quite desirable...so that is not an option

Just put the dot in somewhere else - or some action that is similar.

I'm sure you'll suss out a suitable change.

select, delete, get on with your lives :)

This is most likely the cause of your problem. Your email address maybe easy to guess quickly.

Also, another possible cause. If your email addres is listed on your website (if you have one) in a clickable form, then a special program used by spammers can harvest this address from your webpage. Your address is then used in the "from" field and voila lots of spam.

We get around 500 spam emails to our office enquires address everyday as the email address is clickable on the website.

Little can be done apart from change the email address. You could try something like norton antispam.

I have the same problem, somone is using my Fabia-vrs.com address as a header to send spam.

For website 'owners' - and, yes, this was the reason for my massive increase in spam too.

Change email address etc. etc.

Then place a piccy of your email address in place of your actual email address.

Yeah nothing you can do to stop this as they are not using your email server only using your address as the return path. My main email suffers from this too :(

You could try the spf policy. Google on spf policy :)

I've atarted getting spam "mail undeliverable" etc etc - just the usual spam but designed to look like returned mail to get you to open it. My outlook has learned this and now marks these as spam. Trouble is now it also marks genuine paypal emails as spam, so I have to login to my account to verify, rather than rely on email alone.

I feel for you, I was getting loads but fortunetely my service provider changed everyones email addresses so it's cured it for me.
