It would slaughter you.

Maybe that's why he liked being behind you

Do we need another one of these threads?

sausage jocky at school

mmmmmmmmmmmmmm..................Another Food tread, count me in.............:D

yes but the thing is, he probably spends all his money on his car and crashes it every week and has to eat dust to survive......

well thats what the idiots who used to be at my school are like now....

if you wanted a fast car to race with then you would buy a similar car cheap and fast..... but you are clever enough to realise that fast is not everything....I hope you do realise this?

Oh deffo when i get av 82.9mpg on fc on the way home from work.

Just out of curiosity, how would i do with the revo map and forge fmic?

No chance against the GSi with a Fabia vRS. I had the old 130BHP Astra Sport, and even that is faster in a sprint off the line. But, there's a good chance the Astra's Bosch pantstronic EMS would break down first. Give it a go:thumbup:

A Revo and FMIC, you'll still be 30 hp behind or so. Plus weighing more, overall. As far as performance goes, the Astra is ahead.

Im not entirely sure that would be the case...

In my experience:

standard fabia = Astra sri 2.2 (150bhp) belonged to my dad - there was very little in it... infact i was beginning to reel him in before we ran out of road.

If a remapped fabia RS is level with a Octy II vrs. i think there would be nowt in it with a GSI either... or is someone about to come along and say a GSI is faster then an octy vRS?:eek::rofl:

How long was the Fabia level with the Octy for though?

It makes me laugh - all these cars are so similar that the difference isn't going to be that dramatic in traffic conditions, in short bursts, by the time one driver notices the other is 'going for it' changes down and plants it, etc. Do you expect one car to leave another behind like it's standing still when the 0-60 times are only 2s different?

In race conditions the GSi would beat the fabia easily and an Octavia VRs without too much effort too. And if you talk modified, the GSi could have a reliable 230/260bhp no problem at all.

Sounds like a Revo stage 1 MkII Octy ;)

These threads make me wee a little

If I remeber right till about a ton. Col please correct if I'm wrong.

Here we go again.

The Astra would murder you, no 2 ways about it. I had a go in an old M reg GSi Astra and that thing was rapid. Sure it was cr4p, handled badly, rattled and had steering so vague you had no idea what way the wheels were facing but it went like stink.

Bolt on a turbo and in GSi form you end up with over 200bhp and a lighter car thus you'd need a Scooby to beat him, not a Fabia.

But a Fabia can beat a Scooby ... apparently

Chris

You want a spoon with that chris?

Is that a remapped or stock furby too?

you guna get hurt real bad trying to fight a car

LMFAO.

Who said that? Tell me so I can abuse them. :D

Chap I work with has a Y reg STi thingy with an ironing board on the back and a drainpipe for an exhaust. The only word I can use to describe that thing is 'savage'. The chassis squirms when he plants it in 2nd, there's that much power.

An Astra GSi Turbo would not only beat you, he'd annihilate you if he went for it. Vauxhall turbocharged cars have always been mental. Very crude and unwieldy but always fast. They pride themselves on it. :D
