Reducing bodyroll

So what's the best way then? Compared to other reasonably large family cars, I find the Octavia's handling pretty good but my main criticism is that it feels nose heavy and likes to under-steer a fair bit! Is there an easy way of improving the handling? My first purchase will be a new set of tyres as the ones I have now are not all that wonderful. I don't really want to lower the car as there are already enough places I can't go in it  .

My car is a Mk1 vRS (WRC).

Thanks :D

Now Phil,

I have a OMP strut brace fitted and its helped a awfull lot. Not perfect, but a lot better

Cheers, do you have any clearance issues? I know some touch the bonnet slightly?

Dam you Fluffmeister, you have just cost me £200! lol. No, thanks - Saving £40! I'm glad I posted today. :D

FSD on standard spring made an amazing difference to a golf MK IV and they do an octy kit. I was considering having them fitted to mine before the accident.

Dam you Fluffmeister, you have just cost me

Cheers guys, just spoke to awesome and got a neuspeed 28mm rear ARB. Hope this was a good call, wasn't sure which to go for 25 of 28 so reassurance would be nice  . Anyway being a holigan its gota be the 28mm

Big Thanks to this site, saved me some dosh :D

If Sarah's lookin in on this hope you enjoy the pub :P

I've had the Neuspeed 28mm adjustable rear ARB on my Octy vRS for a long time now, and you will be very pleased with it.

They really work.

Thanks Beretta.

What did VRSPhil go for then?

Just a little worried with only having a standard front ARB that I may have picked the wrong one. Dont want bags of oversteer.

It does touch - slightly. Closes ok

I have front upper and lower S3 strut braces and a rear ARB and I've never had oversteer. but then I'm too much of a wuss to push it that far. Handling is definitely MUCH better than standard though

With an uprated rear ARB you will improve the handling by a considerable amount and the car will feel much more planted on the bends.

If provoked you can get the back to step out (lift off oversteer) - its quite fun doing it, especially when you have a passenger to scare half to death
