Octavia model spec.

Featured Replies

I'm looking at buying an Octavia Estate 1.8T.

Sadly a Vrs is out of my budget so I think I'll be looking at either an SLX or Elegance. What is the standard spec on these two models?

Sorry if this has been asked before but I have looked and found nothing.

Dunno about the SLX , but the elegance has all electric windows , climate control , electric sunroof , 6 disc cd changer , 16" alloys , headlight washers , remote central locking etc. No leather interior though.

SLX had/has:

climate control

electric windows all round

single slot cd player (Grundig)

ABS

remote central locking

electric and heated door mirrors

Front arm rest.

15'' alloys wheels

I think they only come with the grey cloth interior...I think it was called bamboo. No leather steering wheel or gear nob.

Can't think of anything else.

Welcome Goochie.

There are SLXs out there with leather interior and leather wheel/knob...I imagine that would've been a cost option though!

Yep.....I had the leather covered steering wheel and leather covered gear nob fitted from the options list.

Depends on the age of the SLX - my 2000 model has leather seats (front ones heated), steering wheel and gear shift knob/gaiter. Rear seat has a centre armrest but only a lap belt.

Also isn't there a difference in the engines fitted to the Older Octys.

Aren't they less tuneable?

That must be where I saw it.

Worth considering if the OP plans to chip his car.

what are the seats like in the SLX and Elegance? The one's I have in my current MK 4 Astra SXi are really supportive (same as Astra GSi). I dont want to feel like I'm going to fall out mid corner in an Octavia.

I have an elegance and the seats are quite supportive but don't have the side support of the Astra. They are, however, more adjustable than the Astra ones with height and back adjustment thingy, I have no complaints after doing 3-4 hour drives in it!

Hope this helps

On the Stella again Pete? ;)
