Picked up my 55 plate black Octavia VRS friday just gone and boy am i pleased with it

Good quality and smooth drive impresses me still, in fact i feel like my ears have gone deaf cos my ears are listening for more road noise in comparison with my last car!!

Have noticed some wind noise at front pillars though but can live with that.

Have not put my foot down properly but have noticed effortless power when over 2000 rpm - saying that car seems to want to be driven smoothly and serenly - got no urge to have to prove myself against other road useres but i'm sure that will come when a bout of road rage sets in sometime in the future.:thumbdwn:

Keep lookin at it on the drive as it is like a polished diamond.

Rugged hansome looks that make it a man's car to be seen in.

Inside is a no fuss interior which is pleasing to look at. No **** here.

MPG seems ok. Brought it back from lightcliffe Skoda in Halifax to stockport and losses weren't too heavy, however took time and drove smoothly.

Took it round to a mates house today who drives an A3 sportback Audi - he was well impressed. He said he' never seen a vrs and the trim looked the dogs.

Get it remapped and make it even sexier!!!!! Best £400 you will spend and yup watch that low front spoiler. Also change the DV valve with the remap as it sounds alot better

Got myself an 05 black vRS too. Must admit, the black ones look pretty good when nice and shiny but are a pain in the butt to keep that way.

Yes pal - couldn't stretch to a new shape but i think the mark 1 vrs is the most hansome looking - if not as fast - however enough power for me and makes me smile every day !!
