Fancy buying a farm, opening a locked barn ......

Featured Replies

and finding THIS (keep scrolling down until you come to the pic's)

cross posted from another forum I am on.. it appears (but I could be wrong) someone bought a farm in portugal, cracked open an old barn and voila...

Thats the Portuguese version of 'Auto Express' web forum , not a bad collection of cars to find , including an old Skoda!

Oh My God!

I reckon most of those cars are just in need of a wash and tidy up , none of them appear rotten , just dirty. I'll have the early Mini's if he wants rid!

Blimey that would be nice find!

Very restorable if they all complete inside as well. Looks like they have been stored somewhere quite dry which is why the bodywork on them is still mostly to be fine. Out of that lot would like the Mini Cooper, shame no early VW Beetles in there.

Wonder what will happen to them ? Put on fleabay to make silly money

that is what you call a barn find of a lifetime , unbelievable

Should certainly cover the cost of the farm!

Chris

Are most of those cars on dutch plates, or is the 94-IG-09 (eg) also a Portugese plate style?

Hell of a find though!

Absolutely stunning!.

That's one very smug farm owner

Yowzers. That's a lot of cars, and some of them are rather pretty!

Amazing!

I hope he filled in his SORN documents.

Now why can't I come across something like that!

Porsche 356 would be my choice! Along with the mini's . . .

Heck of a find!

 Blumin eck!

That is like a Time Team episode!! I wonder if you dig down below ground level the cars get older?

That's quite some find! Will try and get my Portuguese friend at work to provide a bit more insight tomorrow!

Would be quite a detailing job on all of those though

Anyone fancy making a guess at the total value?

Really tricky I reckon, as there seems to be varying condition to all of them. A complete list of what's there would help too....

Steve

Utterly, utterly astonishing.10_5_137.gif Oh those beautiful Lancias. ''I want that one''

Deadly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOTUS LOTUS LOTUS!!!!

The white Europa........yum!

The Porsche 356 looked ok, but the passenger side looked a bit rotten all round the windows and doors (windows missing too).

The Mercs, of course, only need a wipe down with a damp chamois.........over-engineered like no other car back then.

Fancy finding that collection of cars, doing a check and then find out they are "ALL STOLEN CARS", looking for their rightful owners.

Without the right documents, what would you do with them ?????

I'll have all the Alfas

Thats one of my dreams, to crack open an old barn and find A car, not 100 of them lol! Lucky git!
