Octy II single DIN plate picture?

Featured Replies

Hi there - does anyone have/has anyone come across on the net a picture of what the Skoda single DIN dash adaptor plate (replacing the factory Stream audio) looks like when it's in place? seems I am going to have to go the route of replacing the HU as the only way to improve sound unfortunately - would really like to see a picture of what it looks like. cheers, Fred

Does the skoda one have a little tray under the stereo for odds and ends?

yes

... a bit like this ...

Matches the dash well and feels solid when fitted.

The Skoda single DIN adaptor kit contains:

- New plastic fascia panel (to fit around heater controls, A/C switches and radio aperture).

- Plastic double DIN adaptor with single DIN slot and storage tray (moulded in so non-removable)

- powered FM aerial booster

- Skoda to ISO cable harness adaptor (power and front/back speakers only)

- spare power lead for connection to the fusebox

- 10 Amp fuse to fit fuse box

So for

That looks tidy.

I assume they will have a similar kit for cars with dual zone climate

No daytime pics sorry, but here is mine. The none skoda one looks much better IMHO.

Cup holders are from a LUPO a la Fabia mod. Normally a cubby hole there.

Doesn't that invalidate your warranty??

cheers for picture Shifty - I also have silver Octy II vRS with dual zone, so exact match - just waht I was after. could you let me know where you got your single DIN adaptor plate? (you did say it's not the 'official' Skoda part?) You're right - it does look really good.

cheers, Fred

Do you need a can / quadlock adapter of sometype for the after market one? is that needed for the skoda part?

cheers

@ Shifty - Could you tell us where you got your adapter, as I've got the same Pioneer nav in my Superb, and I want to move it across to the Octavia. Currently, I also have another headunit underneath (my MP3 player), so would it be possible to make the cubby into another DIN slot?

Thanks,

Bagpuss.

Here's my Woodstock DAB54 in place. I also have a Blaupunkt CANBUS adapter installed. This give proper integration with power, lights and steering remote.

Sorry about the excellent quality - I just couldn't resist it:thumbup:

Hi mate, yes the other slot is din size too, ie the cubby hole.

Fred - i got it from my local audio dealer, wasn't cheap as its a decent thing.....

Both of you will need whats called a "can bus interface". I have one here thats has no use to me now, as I have uninstalled my pioneer from the Octavia. Retail is £149.00, and I'm open to offers via pm :).

**edit - just looked at the autoleads adapter as posted above, thats the one :)
