Trouble is it only has 400+ bhp......still I could always change it into a 1.4 16v.

They require sevicing every 3000miles maximum, if you dont you will get a £2000 bill for a new transfer box (that doesnt include any labour, and you need the mitsubishi computer to fit one properly). If you abuse it every now and then you will end up with the same £2000 bill.

Tyres last no time, the economy is carp(IIRC it hold the top gear record for least economical car they have tested), thay attract the idiots, ch@vs, police, theives, etc.

Having said all that it would be an awsome piece of kit, and i wouldnt mind a play in one, but i wouldnt but one.

If youve got plenty money to burn then go for it , and if you do , pop over to Mitsubishi Lancer Register and introduce yourself , they are a fantastic bunch on there. That looks like an MRFQ400? Carbon front splitter and carbon rear wing and also note the Vortex Generator above the rear window , thats meant to disturb the airflow at the back of the car , apparently it makes the rear wing more efficient at speed.

Fantastic looking car; loving those wheels. If it wasn't for the attention they attract I'd probably own an Evo of some description now. I doubt running costs will be that much worse than what you're running now. I wouldn't let them put me off.

I had one , only a 'Proton on steroids' Evo 2 though , so no AYC fluid to change. Actually it is evos 1 to 3 that have 3000 mile service intervals , the 4 onwards are every 4500 miles. Dont neglect them either , because if you need to get a new AYC pump its an bit of a shocker , bill wise!
