Hi Guys,

I have just had my Furby MOT'd before the warranty expires in 1 month in case of any pontentially expensive issues! It passed the MOT with an advisory becase of excessively worn front suspension arm bushes causing play. It is an 04 model with 35k on the clock- mainly motorway miles so they havent had a hard life! I have searched for this and it does appear to be a common issue.

My question is will Skoda replace these under warranty?

I have noticed a knocking noise on bumpy roads- would this be the worn bushes making themselves heard?

Also, I have noticed a high pitch noise coming from the PAS on full lock- another fault?

My dealer did a pre-warranty check and they teplaced these under warranty, so yes they should

the trouble is, worn out bushes tend to cause other things to wear out quicker too, if it's knocking a lot try changing the arb drop links

Thanks for the feedback on the bushes. I guess the dealer will check the drop links as a matter of course?

Try to avoid applying full lock if you can help it though, as the noise happens when the PAS motor's straining against the stops, and although the fluid recirculates round the system to limit the strain on the steering components, it can still wear out your steering rack... :(

I had to pay for mine, and mine is under warranty! £150...... (my car has 70k on it now, but is still covered under 'unlimited' miles, as it's less than two years old....)
