I dont own a skoda....

Featured Replies

but I know someone who owns a Fabia VRS and he speaks very highly of it, he's desperate to get it jabba'd but he's bottling it atm, money related worries.

I have a Honda Prelude 2.2 Vti.

Welcome special K :D

An uderstandable worry on his part, but IIRC Jabba are one of the cheapest remaps out there. Also, by being a member of this site he qualifies for a discount or if he's lucky he could get on one of the frequent Group Buys arranged on here and get an even bigger discount. :D

I think its more related to what it will do to his insurance premium. :smurf:

Liverpool and Victoria.

Don't seem to charge for mods (unless you change the engine size) :D

Not as much as one might think...

There are also companies out there who offer really good service and in my case for less than an excess with direct line...

"Liverpool Victoria" is the answer to the question you are preparing to ask :D

Call them as the online quote is way out.

Welcome Special K :wave23d:

I'm in a similar situation to your mate, think I may leave it a while cos of insurance and warranty worries as well :thumbdwn:

IMHO its fast enough already, not sure it'd give your 2.2vti a run for its money though

...but then again 50 odd mpg's not too be sniffed at ;)

for the true sports car afficianado mpg is not really a consideration....

....although I do take your point.

Vrs would probably overtorque me :D 20-60 but then my high revving beauty would come into its own....

Picking on the Fabias for putting economy over performance, eh?

Top bloke!;)

Ooooh! Is that the V-TEC 4WS one? Manual or auto? We used to have one one our fleet, and it had the best engine note ever when you took it past 6,000 revs. It had an appetite for auto boxes, though............

It is indeed the V-TEC 4WS with a manual gearbox. I test drove both and preferred the manual option, the auto seemed like it needed an extra gear. V-TEC kicks in around 5,500-6000 and it is certainly a sweet sound. The car loves it and so do I :)

arrrr yes......the old vtec sound :)(remembers wistfully Teg Type R.... )
