I am going to be doing a little work on the MR2 at the end of the month and need an accurate dyno to see what effect the mods have on power. Anyone know of an accurate dyno in Essex or within an hours drive of Essex?

There's PE and Torque of the Devil in Uxbridge, both of which have a reputation for being very good, might be a bit too far?

I was a little suspect of engine advantages in Witham who are the most local to me following a thread where an off the shelf remapped Octy I was making 234bhp. Seemed very high transmission loss. However, a couple of others have used them and found thier readings to coincide with other well known dyno setups they use. Reckon I will go there as it only takes 10 mins from here.

Dont have a RR as far as I know. Bit odd for a company doing remaps?

Pretty sure I will go to Engine Advantages now. Going to be doing before / after testing, so absolute result not all that relevant. Others have had accurate and cross checkable results from their RR. Just have to wait for my goodies to turn up from the USA now.

What about the companies who come to your house and remap your car? I.e. Celtic Tuning, Angel Tuning and all others?

Ok for off the shelf mapping as they are pre run / pre proved and you just upload and go. I thought IP did custom mapping for modified cars? No RR makes this a potentially risky business as parameter errors may not be spotted until something goes pop. A RR session allows you to spot spikes and lows in output and emissions that driving may not uncover.
