Polie spec vRS, are they differnt to standard?

Featured Replies

Hi all following on from my search (see thread in My Performance) for a economical upgrade to my Octy vRS suspension, I ve since discovered that the Rally (WRC) edition and standard vRS are the same (well according to Skoda IRL, Skoda UK & Skoda Czech :D lol)

I was wondering if the police spec Octy was upgraded? and if so what exactly?

Cheers

Fergal

Fergal,

With regards to the Police Octys, see my reply in the other thread ;)

Might have a set of KW v2's for sale soon. ALthough for the 4x4, would only mean sourcing rears for RS...

thanks guys, hmm Colin I would love the KW's but its the hassle of getting a replacement quickly here in Ireland which is putting me off them :( , as I siad in the original thread coilovers would be wasted here with the condition of the roads, its why in hoping there is a reccomended damper upgrade, as the konis seem to have a problem with the rears , are there any other options?

Cheers

Hmmmm. :D

(lemme guess - won't fit a furby)

As far as i know they are standard straight from the factory, Extra stickers and flashy lights are the only difference.

No extra mods and stuff. Gone are the days when Police cars are given the secret treatment to make them quicker!

Driver upgrade? :)
Driver upgrade? :)

Debatable  :P

Maverick, are you coming to the National meet? Could you bring along your company car, for comparative purposes? Just want to see just how standard it really is. My guess is that it has had an ECU upgrade (Williams seem to think it has).

Or you could bring along the Beemer :D

Getting the work car to Brunters might be a problem......

Would be fun though if i could, rant it round the track at tax oayers expense!

You mentioned WILLIAMS before as tuning them, We're under the impression they are straight from the factory and not tuned or re-mapped or anything. Would like them to be, Somone did offer to plug it in and remap to the AUDI TT 220BHP setup..

Maverick, perhaps "they" don't tell you everything ;) :cop:

Wheres Iceman and Slider!!!!!

Hell.. even Cooter's in on the act......

P.S. Its 1.30am I'm drunk...well...

Police motors must come with uprated brake pads...

My mate bought an Senator 3.0i ex police car...

in the nice shade of white,,,

nice and fast .. but everytime he went above 70mph at night his front main beam lights started to flash left then right... which gave the drivers in front

brown undies as they dived for the inner lane....

He had to get it disabled.. pity really as it would be usefull to put the crap up boy wasters, BMW ****,, drivers etc....

Dazz

I followed the local plod unmarked vRS in Whitehaven the other week (you have been warned) and it looked lower and stiffer than mine.

I'm sure you could sell the idea to your PR guys. Think how much good publicity you could generate! ;)

Not something to say on t'web :shhh:

Them flashing headlights i am 99.9% sure are illegal to have on your motor,

Emergency service vehicles are the ONLY vehicles allowed to have alternating headlights....

Join the RNLI as a lifeboat crewman, then you can have them ;)
