How much have you spent on upgrades ?

Featured Replies

Since you first bought your Fabia, how much have you spent on upgrades ?

I thought i'd ask the question since mine has risen to

I spent about £700 on upgrades to mine (although it came with an uprated head unit which must have been worth a few hundred quid). Don't regret doing the suspension or tuning box, but the strut brace and the green panel filter were wasted money, imho :D

I wasn't worried about buying new, which opened up the choice for replacements...

Chris

Wasted money on 2 sets of eibach springs. 1 set of dampers. Cost of fitting twice only to revert back to standard. Wasted money on strut braces front upper/lower and rear only to take them all off. So god knows.

Brakes, rear arb and some decent tyres. Thats all it needs.

John, why the change back to standard on the Eibachs ? I can only praise them since the change for me.

Car (inc Xenons, Cruise, Metallic and 3rd Rear Headrest): £12500

Some stickers and stuff: £10

TOTAL: £12510

Would I do it again... Hmm

New Cupra Intake £23, New Green Filter £20, secondhand Dragon tuning box £46, retrofit Cruise control £200, New Alpine HU to be fitted this w/e £221.

So just over £500 in total. The cruise control has made the biggest difference. Though I am very much enjoying my bargain tuning box, a huge dollop of torque from it sure has pepped things up, not so much top end improvement though.

edit car cost me £12300. Black, xenons, heated seats, side airbags, cruise control, de-activate switch for airbag.

Current "options" Jabba arb £200, 312mm brakes £270, Cupra intake £30, Remap £500, Ipod interface £50, VW upgrade front speakers £50, sub £400. Total £1500

Total £13800

A few quid on a Briskoda sticker and that's it!!

Although I'm tempted to make a visit to Seat Surgeons in the not to distant future...

Too much :( But if swmbo reads this all in toll it adds up to £52 :P

'04 Fabia vRS - 11,650

ARB - €367

PD160 Intake - €50

Tinted Windows - €260

Sony GT300S - €269

JBL Amp & Sub - €225

Briskoda Freedom Member Sticker - €3

Total - €1,174

Briskoda sticker and head unit thats all really

Total spent on car and new bits and fitting them.

£9.99 on a tax disc holder to replace the A4 sized monstrosity the garage slapped on it, lol... Thats all. If i had a bit o cash to spare it would be a very different story, that 1.8T engine i dream about might be first :D only £7890 of saving to go then! :)

Come to think of it, I visited my Sister in Maghull last month (first time I'd been back to Liverpool since fitting the Eibachs) and thought to myself, these roads really are $hite ! Would probably shake the fillings from my teeth if I was living back there.

See your point. ;)

Try the back roads on the way into southport ::thumbup:

Plus I dont like slowing down for speedbumps. So the undertray was having a hard time Especially when going over humpbacks

2001 Fabia TDI about £6k years ago - Have spent in excess of £15,000 on it while I've owned it. hence, why it's worth more to me than anyone else. :D

Erm...

Bout £3115 on bits and pieces, car 1yr old to me was £10500.

And £1200+ on polish, waxes, cleaners and tools to keep it looking good

Rear arb

Some minor tweaks have been done, mostly 'enhanced repairs' so far though or safety enhancements such as brakes, rear ARB, strut, PD160 intake (well ok that one is a little doubtful :P )

Cost wise - well the repair cost to my engine is kinda encompassing most of the other spends on the car at the moment, and compared to fuel it is STILL cheaper than anything else I've owned :D

12k ish in a few mths....

Really don't want to add it up...it's too much for a 19 year old student anyway!

I've never added mine up:-
