Opinions - about to shake on this

The OEM unit would have the GPS mounted in the base of the mast antenna so would require a complete new unit and yes the headlining taking down. The dashboard mount is fine mate.

I think you got a very reasonable deal indeed. Nice one!

You may see this same post on another non car related site, if you've seen it there then :wavey:

SMART car and COOL photos; the first '07 I've seen. I'm sooooo envious got to wait 2-3 more weeks for mine.

What mats did you finish up with? Do they have 'vRS' logos?

The mats are definitely colour coded to match the vRS interior, you can see the white edging in the picture above. I doubt they are the same mats as fitted to non-vRS cars. There is no logo, though.

Dave.

Stunning looking car - I'm jealous!

Same spec as the ones fitted in my dealer's demo then. I quite like the idea of having the vRS logo - guess I will have to go 'aftermarket'.

Other than that; envy :( , envy :( , envy :( . You have really photo'd it well.:D:thumbup:

Dave.

Looks the dogs cant wait to get mine on sat:thumbup:

Steve

Dave,

So they got those Opel Fruits off the paintwork then.......and I must admit, you can hardly see that fag burn on the passenger seat! Done a great job there.

It looks brilliant mate! Delighted you love the car too!

Thanks for the pics, helps share your excitement a bit more cos hopefully mine will be here in the next few weeks. It's a mixture of excitement and nerves a bit, hoping it will prove as good as I want it to be and that, refering to another thread, I will be able to say: 'Yes I'll be buying another one next time'. :)

Tried to ring my the dealer today about delivery, but I guess I picked the wrong day. Guess it was lots of lucky people picking up their fancy new cars.....thus keeping the salespeople from the phones!

Hope it goes well and you love it!

Marwood, you might recognise the backdrop in some of the photos, that's Thurstaston on the Wirral :)

Dave.

Very nice, best colour too. Just move that passenger seat belt buckle up to the top otherwise it will knock annoyingly against the trim. I'm going to find a better method of holding it but at the moment moving it to the top does the job.

Thanks for the tip

Dave.

Dodgy - stop posting and start driving!!

You need to go play

Can't going to the pub now

Catch you later :)

Dave.

I get a bit mixed up with places on the Wirral. I thought I recognised it as being near that nice, but overpriced farm shop as you drive away from West Kirby to wards Heswell. I can't think if this is in Thurstaston or not.

Some lovely parts....should have moved there sooner.

You take your time on some of our roads mate, some narrow and blind corners about.:rofl:

Still must be really tempting to over dab that throttle a bit and throw it into the twisty bits, even though you are running it in.

Should't you be driving it now? :)

It does sound a good deal. I would push for the full tank of fuel. I did when I bought my Octy vRS TDi in january. It was their demonstrator, and I got them to put 12 months of tax back on the car and a tank of fuel. They even left in a handfree bluetooth kit. I love it, no way I'll be giving it back.

Lovely looking car!

Yeah, the Farm shop is in Thurstaston, it's called Church Farm Church Farm Organics . It was the nearest place to me that would make a nice backdrop for the purpose of newcarownershipphotography

(is that a word? It is now!)
