No i have a custom made 100cel race cat.......look good but WILL fail the MOT and give you a CEL light on your dash

Thats no good,,,ive seen a race cat from blue flame on ebay are they any good?

The decat will fail the MOT, my old vRS could barely pass the MOT with a sports cat. Last time it was MOTd before sale it took the tester 5 tries to get the emissions below the required level.

I have one of these -

they are all over ebay, I paid £70 in the UK, got a 200CEL sports Cat from the states and welded in place of the resonator section. Performance is much improved and emissions are essentially as OEM standard

one Cat as standard, decat downpipe will not pass MOT on it's own.

You basically have the choice of buying a cheap downpipe and Cat and welding it in (you got PM ) or a complete recognised aftermarket downpipe/sports Cat at a significantly higher cost..

The downpipe and a less restrictive Cat does make a significant difference even on a standard car.

I bought something similar off ebay it was an all in one pipe. I wish i had saved my money and bought the blue flame as this is poo the dam thing hits the steering rack when you set off hard on the gas. I had it modified but it still does it from time to time. Leaving it on though as i want a bigger turbo and only want to change the exhaust once.
