Rally Ireland in the limelight with Irish national broadcaster

RT

Pacenotes Rally news team have come up with a novel way to get around this years event were going to park up in the Pacenotes Motor home on a location and let the rally come to us. Stress free rallying is the motto for Rally Ireland this time around..Rallyinfo and meself along with the Boss will be aboard. Any Briskoda member seeing us call in and have a chat and mybe a brew or two.

Rallyinfo is an expert at making tea... It would also be good if the boss could borrow one of those helecopters from one of his contacts , one without a subaru sticker on it as I don't fancy Rallyinfo flying the thing . He's subaru mad and a very good pilot on the ground that is .

sounds like a plan... get the kettle on...

Sounds good, will you be set up in Stormont ? A few of us might be going :)

Btw I sent you a PM ;)

Hi Gaff

Not sure about Stormont (difficult to park on the steps) we like to get very close to the action..I think it would be more in the good old south / service area. We will have to wait and see what the boss has in mind..still it would be nice to have a chat with like wise Skoda owners on Rally Ireland..

Anyone got any recommendations for stages not to miss? We'll be at Stormont for the Superspecial and will likely find our way to service but just wondering if there's any good stages we should make a point of getting to? :D

Chris

Hi ScoobyChris

Im sure Rallyinfo will let briskoda members know the best places (he's the expert in locations and good junctions to be at) .

Stage info hasn't been released yet but all I'll say is wherever you go, make sure you plan well in advance, get to the stage a couple of hours before it's due to start and stay there for the day. If crowd numbers are anything like other WRC events, it simply won't be possible to dart from stage to stage. And if you arrive at the last minute, you'll miss the stage as you'll be parking a couple of miles away!

As for making tea, I'm better at coffee Paul!! :P

To be honest I reakon it will be absolutely crazy. I was in San Remo a few years back and it was impossible to get near a stage with a car. I'd say take a normal Donegal or Killarney rally and multiply spectator levels by about 5.

@Rallyinfo be sure to keep us up to date regarding any Stage info, and if get any good pictures of the same any chance of emailing me :o:D

Btw this is the only information I have seen so far, http://www.rallyireland.com/pdfs/Rally_Ireland_2007_Stage_Overview.pdf

I can nearly see me heading home after day 1 and watching it on TV :D

Coffee it is J two sugers in mine and don't forget the M&S sarnies..

Just Had a call ticket price for the super special at Stormont start at

cheers m8. heard rumour bout

tickets now on sale...
