VW & Audi equivalents

Featured Replies

I'm new to Skoda ownership and the forum - purchased a new Fabia vRS 5 weeks ago and really pleased with it. Thought I would really miss my old car, a Subaru Impreza WRX PPP but I don't. The running costs of the vRS are a revalation!

Anyway, what are the Audi / VW equivalents to the Skoda range (excluding the Roomster:D )?

Fabia - Polo

Octavia - Bora

Superb - A4 / Passatt

Regards

Ian

Welcome to Briskoda Ian

Fabia - Polo

Octavia - Golf - A3

Superb - Passat - A6

IIRC

The jetta is a much more direct equivalent to the octavia.

It's exactly the same wheelbase unlike the golf and basically the same shape except a saloon rather than hatch

Hello and welcome

True for the older shape Passat. The new shape Passat actually shares the Octavia platform and running gear.

Fabia - Polo - Ibiza - A2 (suspension and running gear)

Octavia - Golf - Jetta - Golf + - Leon - Toledo - Altea - Touran (suspension and running gear) - A3 - TT

Superb - A4 - A6

Old shape models also were the same

so MK1 Octavia - MK1 Leon - Beetle etc.

Knock the TT out of the equiv lists. The mk1 might have shared it's components with the Golf but the mk2 TT is a total redesign.

The Mk1 TT shared the platform as Lummox said...

Agree the NEW TT is a totally different kettle of cod.
