Octavia VRS TDI (Lease/Contract Hire)

Featured Replies

Trying to get a good deal on a new Octavia VRS for my next company car. The quotes from all of the big names (Arval, LEX) are coming out very high. Anybody have any suggestions on any good deals out there?

Thanks.

I've just asked my employer for a VRS Petrol, and despite all the mags saying the depreciation is low for the Vrs models, and suggesting that the contract hire price should be the same as a 2ltr TD Jetta or base Passat, it is looking like the true figure is much higher.

I will find out soon for deffinate, but I think a lot of leasing companies class them as sports cars and stick and extra few quid on..... grrrrr..

Hope you get on ok, but I think it will be tough.

Unless you can do anything through Skoda themselves?

What quotes did you get.

Worth trying your local dealer(s) as some of them may do a lease deal direct

We've just ordered an Audi A3 on a 3 year non maintenance lease from lingscars.com who were 10% lower than the lowest of 3 other quotes. Ling was on Dragons Den a few weeks ago, interesting lady, good service, crap web site but the prices worked for us. :)

Our company uses one leasing firm for all the sales plebs (Me included) and will not go outside of that.

Tis rubbish really, as when you get to manager level you can visit the dealers and negotiate yourself.

Bit of a slap in the face as the managers don't do many business miles

Yes but I think thats part of the deal of getting the managment job ;) Rewards those who get there and inspires those who havent made it yet (well, in theory)

how about Leaseplan? I think they are owned by VAG UK, so tend to be good for VAG cars.

Not sure how much you've been quoted, but my company uses ING Car Lease for all of it's cars.

I've just ordered a vRS TDi Estate with the following options:

Race Blue Metallic

Maxi-dot

Xenons

Dual zone, jumbo box, rear electric windows

Cruise control

Curtain airbags

Active headrests

Auto dimming mirror, light assistant, rain sensor

Heated front seats

Sunset glass

Our leases are on an all-in basis, so the monthly price includes maintenance+tyres, european recovery and road tax.

The monthly lease cost on the car above was

My octavia with all the goodies came out at just over £400 a month with maintenance included, from leasplan as well.

Best VRS TDI contract hire quote to date is £404 (inc Metallic Paint). Based on

3 Year, 25000miles/year, 3+33 payment with full maintenance.

Need to make sure you are comparing apples with apples when talking about lease prices.

Lots of different deals out there, and as mentioned in some of the posts...

What annual mileage

How many pence per mile for overrun

Is maintenance included

Do you get a replacement car if yours is off the road for any reason

Are tyres included - maybe wear and tear cover only, so that you pay if you have a non-repairable puncture. Payment may be in proportion to the amount of tread remaining.

How long is the lease over

For a typical 3 yr lease, is it 3 + 33 payments or 3 + 35

Do you get breakdown cover? UK or Europe as well?

Is road tax included?

Im sure there are other things too. One company we used to deal with allowed "mileage sharing" across the fleet, so that someone who was over their allowance could offset it if someone else was under

Judging from the figures above it looks like I'll be getting a Jetta. I know I can get a 2.0D Jetta Sport with winter pack, and the list is quite a bit more than the Octavia, with similar residuals. As a result, I am assuming the lease company charge more for the Skoda as it is classed as a sports car. grrr.

I have about £360 a month and was looking for a Vrs petrol hatch.

We use 3 + 33 with no maint and 30k a year, and most of the other guys have gone for Civic 2.2td EX with a list of £18.3K. These come through at about £362 as far as I know, and I won't get much more than that.

Will know next week.

I have about

Lease plan are good got my car from dealers via lease plan a badly depreciating Astra sri stick in there and get your vrs.

Give your local dealer another try tomorrow.

There are some very, very special contract hire prices being announced on vRS tomorrow morning.

Or PM me and I'll get you a quote off the system when they appear.

Cheers for this.

I'll see whether I get told yes or no at work.

One problem is that we use one contract hire company for about 10 cars and the MD doesn't stray from them.

If he says no, I'll push to go elsewhere but I don't think it'll work as if others know I've done it then they'll all be having a go.

Managed to get a local contract hire company down to

  • 2 weeks later...

Bit of a follow up to this thread.

It looks like I'll be getting the VRS Petrol with metalic paint and Jumbo.

Maybe the contract hire aint that bad after all. :)

Will know for deffinate in a few weeks when it will hopefully be on order.

I found this too that the vRS was a lot pricier on lease than the non-vrs octys. My Octy has a list price of nearly £19k yet came out £50 a month cheaper than a basic TFSI vRS with no options, which retails at £17.5k.

Leaseplan have just qouted me
