burberry cap on order?

looks nice

what does the bra do for you? :) Seriosuly why?

I was asking a serious question. I've seen a couple of cars with the material on the front of the bonnet/headlamps and always wondered WHY they used them. thats was all.

I think the original poster took the burberry cap idea as a joke as intended.... maybe this will do next time ;):D

as for me now being able to read......:finger::rolleyes:

the thread starter had already siad what it was, when its used and what is is used for though, it did seem like a very odd question.

I remember when my bro went to some shows...used cling film to keep the flies off on the way down to Santa Pod...looked really odd and got some funny looks. But was worth it when everyone else was polishing the fly covered bumper

Not a dig, just a question out of curiosity. How do the brakes get vented?

just a tip ..... hide your registration.....

maybe it does to you, I didn't see that bit, ever soo sorry please forgive me of my sins.

looks a nice car, is it kept in a garage? how many miles has it done?

The car was on 81K when it blew up in 1999 and i have done 250 miles in it so far so soon be run in. Garaged every night behind 2 cars and locked gates.

Managed to get my headlining back in last night so looks more complete and a bit quieter inside. Not as economical as the fabia. Only got it up to 26mpg as of yet but hoping it will get better when i have a couple of more miles on it.

Will get some interior pics up when i have cleaned it as still finishing it off.

no need to get sarky i just thought it odd that you asked aquestion that had already been answered and mentioned a few times already in a thread. just came across like you had looked at the pictures then zoomed down to the bottom and posted is all.

I still think you need to sell it to me.

I'm actually quite serious.

Your not the first. Got followed into the petrol station by a police car and thought fine for plates here we come but he wanted my car off me.

A lot of people keep asking about the wheels.

Like:

The clean looks, the old school hot hatch idea, the obvious work that's gone into it.

Don't like:

The bra (already covered (yes Ben I can read :P)), the wheels (sorry), the mismatch between ride height and the wheel size (they look too small), and the fake German plates.

But nobody could quibble. Every car you get your hands on looks unique, immaculate, and cared for. Long may you reign!

Cheers Nick. Wheels look a lot bigger in real life for some reason.

Managed to get most of the interior done today at last.

Took me ages to soundproof the bootlid as cannot get your hands in so had to do it in little pieces.

Passenger door all finished off and sill trim fitted along with new door seal.

P1000403.jpg

Dash all finished and drivers door all done. Sill trim fitted just need handbrake surround and screw to hold down the plastic seat rail trim.

P1000404.jpg

Rear all sorted now apart from plastic trim that covers the seat bolt on the passenger side and the trim that covers the back edge of the headlining.

Going out again now to paint the lower edge of the sills in black to tidy it up a bit.
