Look what the Gypos got hold of!

Featured Replies

That looks like a crashed one being stripped for parts.

What's the problem?

Well it's just a shame that another one has bit the dust - and it looks like the gypos are in possesion of it.

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Yes because that wouldn't do the Fabia's reputation any good at all would it?:rofl:

Chris

i know someone who lived in a caravan while their house was being built-does that make them a gypo? and i know people who have injured their car and sold different parts of it-does that make them gypos too?

no lorna, being a thieving fighting scum bag that can only speak a made up language makes you a gypo :)

and that car doesn't look very crashed to me

and both the people you talking about, if i have got the right people in mind then yes their both gypos anyway :)

HTH

Love the axle stands...........:D

Doesn't look like a caravan to me. It looks like one of those pickup/campervan thingys in nextdoors garden (or poss on thier driveway) considering it's the other side of the fence and there's a house in the background!!

Look at the lovely caravan in the back ground - didn't a member have their red VRS stolen recently?

"Hi there, I noticed your stripping this Fabia down. Do you have any photos of the rear as I have just had a rear end crash and need some parts.

Cheers,

RacerPemberton"

Ive just sent him this (which is a load of bull but never mind):

I think the one that was stolen had some identifying features on the back such as a vrs badge instead of the skoda on, so we'll wait n see.

*EDIT - it might not be that particular stolen one, he is saying its 55 plate and the stolen one was 54.

They quote its a 55 reg with only 517 miles on the clock, now what else is that damaged to make it beyond economic repair ???

Hhhmmm, if its 55 reg with only 517 miles its been stood for a very long time. Maybe they were waiting for the fuzz to lose them

Maybe he's trying to make money?!!

I saw an article in a bike magazine a while ago showing that some dealers/breakers and the odd member of joe public were buying brand new sports bikes, striping them, selling the bits and making bucket loads of cash!!!!

For instance, a new 600cc sports bike costs iro £6-7k. Once they'd sold most of it they'd made £30k+!!!!

But that very much depends on supply and demand etc.

And i don't think there's enough people out there wanting vRS bits yet......

If it is stolen, he'll have taken the number plates off and prob the badge (you'd get a couple of quid on ebay for it). And from the pic it looks like the rear window has gone too.....

Stolen or not stolen, it brakes my heart to see a vRS stripped like that.

One thing is sure, though, usually a car is much more profitable sold in parts than in a single piece. No gypo needed to find that out, every burglar with a piece of brain knows that already

Looks pretty suspect if you ask me. What's left of the car looks in mint condition.

Its done a lot more than 517 miles, look at the sellers other items. The rear shocks and springs are incredibly dirty for that low mileage.

From some of the other items, you can see the car is on a private driveway with a house to the rear.

Get them to sell the front window for example, It should have the etching in the corner to identify the car. If it's been scraped off, you know it's nicked. The Skodas are normally registered to the theft id people when you buy one. My vRS is.

There must be other items that are cheaop and have the car id on them.

Have to say though, it deff don't look that damaged after a crash.

No idea what else they're selling, but water/flood damage could easily write a new car off.......

Chris

I e-mailed vrsStu with this yesterday... as his website (Fabia-vrs.com - Home Page) was the one with the stolen Red Fabia advert on a while back...

He said he'd pass it onto the person in question... lets hope the boys in blue pay them a visit!

Even if it's a legitimate breaker then at least its good to know we're looking out for each other!

Just a thought...

If we find out where the dude lives, why don't we schedule a day to go there all together? :D

How many people could we get? We'd all buy ourselves some beer barrels, and show up at the poor fella's house, all 30 or 50 of us!!

The Skoda People's Civil Movement!! No one can stop us now!!!!!!

just kiddin'

There's quite possibly a few legit explainations for him breaking the car, one of which maybe that the car has been sold to them by Skoda UK for the sole purpose of being broken for parts. I know of a chap who picked up a 20 mile old 206 GTI-180 which had been damaged in some way during production/storage for virtually no cash, on the understanding that it was broken for parts. Pug notified the DVLA that it was scrapped and therefor he couldn't sell the shell on for road use.

he might have been very annoyed with his stutter and took it to bits out of anger lol.

If it was my stolen one, I'd know it anywhere, in bits or not.

I don't think I want it back like that though:D

might be legit!! could be sombody stripping it down to do an insane engine conversion or something??

Saving that if 12v needs a dash + bags ;)

The rear hatch defiantly looks like it
