Just sold my S3 and I'm transferring to a Fabia vRS on Saturday. Just wanted to say hello to all and thanks for the info contained on this forum, it's been most helpful in making the decision between Fabia and Ibiza.

So just out of curiosity, what made you pick the Fabia over the Ibiza?

S3 petrol to a Fabia diesel, thats a bit of a change and you will find your driving style will change as well to get the most out of the Fabia.

The Fabia just felt a little more solid and better built. It's quieter inside (and wider according to the brochures) and didn't feel any slower. The Ibiza I tried had covered 52k though against the Fabia's 18k. Not sure about the 'B' pillar back styling on the Ibiza either, whereas I think the Fabia looks chunky and pretty cool.

I know it's different, looking forward to it though. Standard car in Black Magic, collect it Saturday.

Looking forward to vRS ownership though, it's newer, lower mileage, waranteed etc, so there's nothing to spend for 10k miles, not that the S3 cost a lot to run in 12 months, 1 major service (expected) 1 cambelt service and

I was looking into an S3 after I'd had a reasonable insurance quote.

But I'd cry every time I went to the fuel pumps!

Welcome, I'm still on audi-sport as well. Mind you I still have and Audi as well as the vRS. Kinda stopped visiting uk-mkivs though ;-(
