Want to sell the wife's 54 plate Black Magic vRS Fabia.

Never sold privately.Always p/exd cars. Those that have,do you go Autotrader route plus an advert on Briskoda?Do you throw it on every car website?

Still really wary of private sales

It all depends on how quickly you want shut of it.

Auto trader ads. are a pita, with every clown ringing up and asking daft questions.

Your local rag may be a better bet, or even try Fleabay.

I didn't have any luck with autotrader when I advertised my Ibiza on there last year, and it cost me over

Second vote for Pistonheads. Not even bothered with Autotrader... all that seems to attract is scammers and canvassers. Not saying that you don't get them on PH, but a lot less.

Yeah i vote for pistonheads too!!!!

If you go down the autotrader route watch out for people phoning offering to sell your car. I stupidly fell for it, and coughed up £80 :(

sold all of my previous motors via autotrader. 2 weeks online only option. all went within the 2 weeks aswell. as above lots of calls from people wanting to sell your car. worked for me.

I was fortunate enough to sell mine without advertising (), but make sure that you give a detailed receipt that both parties sign saying they are happy with the state of the vehicle at the exchange of keys. Google has plenty of templates for them, or I can e-mail you a copy of the one I made.
