Featured Replies

for those who have coilovers on there fabia,

what have ye got and what did ye pay and what like are they..oh and where did ye get them:confused: ?,

anyone put them on therselves.

i'm getting new wheels and coilovers and i'm going to try and get a good deal on both from the same place...good luck eh!lol

I had H&R Coilovers on mine.

£779 Plus Fitting and Tracking.

Just height adjustable, but awesome quality and fantastic ride.

You can't fit a Jabbasport Anti Roll Bar with them though, due to the way the rear springs are adjusted.

70mm Front and 50mm Rear - Max Lowering.

Ive got a unbranded FK kit from philJ on the clubpolo forum, £280, and the ride is great :D

Yea they are V1's

Ride is perfect for road use, could do with stiffer springs on the front for track though

When you say perfect for road use, what exactly do you mean??

They're stiff enough to reduce body roll without being too harsh and uncomfortable.....??

I have been thinking about coil overs for a while but don't wanna end up with a spine jarring ride (like my old car) and adverse tyre wear (like my old car, which was so bad i was getting through a pair every 6 months!!)

rite i think it'll be kw's variant 1's.

a quik question for beedie... is your cars ride very hard with the 18's and coilovers on?

or would you say its a perfectly pleasent everyday ride?

Correct they are probably the most "comftable" coilovers around for road use but they still give near perfect handling :) top notch

Only thing to say is make sure you get the correct springs... KW have lllooooaaaddds of different types of springs... IIRC they DO do some vRS specific ones, maybe even a choice between linear or progressive.

no probs with ride infact i could barely tell a difference between standard and the coilovers first time i drove them. maybe just very excited because now they seem firmer from what i remember, they definatly improve hanling but as luke says could be doing with being firmer upfront, which could only improve them!

Day to day i can live with feeling a few bumps if it means i get better cornering.

I said that about my old car. But it ended up being spine jarring around town..... It handled great on twisty A roads and was ok for motorway stuff but i don't wanna end up with something that harsh again.....

It'd be nice to feel what they're like......

Anyone near Kings Lyn with them fitted????

Right, i have done quite a bit of research on coilovers and am aware of most of the ones out there but they are prices, i know you get what you pay for etc! I have narrowed it down to 2 brands VMaxx and FK, the FK are
