INS (induction noise silencing) box in place of the airfilter, track restrictions required one as residents were being grumpy about the noise.

Camber wise, yes lots! 3.5 on right side and 4 on the left, with 2.5/3 toe in on the rear. Very banked track.

Also, front tires trued 1 mm smaller than rear, and rears trued to about 60mm for heats, and 62mm for the final (to allow for wear).

Ill put up the full set up later, got the car in bits at the mo as I got a nice shiney new car given to me (with all the hop ups) so transfering parts over from one to the other :D

My brother in law did the same thing!

Tried to weld it but it's aluminium and pretty thin. Needless to say, he got a new one, but the patched and battered old one worked fine for a while.

Just sent him a link on RC Nitrous setups!!!! (Now that's OTT)

Normally they can be fixed, by filling them with milk or water (depends on the severity of the ding) and sticking them in the freezer. Me thinks this one is beyond repair though

thanks for the tip - will pass it on to bro in law!!

Just remember water expands more than milk, so start with milk and if that doesnt work try water.

Plug the ends with blu tac or something watertight + leave it over night or a few days in the freezer:thumbup:

Just got most of it back together after stripping it down (apart from the shocks) :

Would you refill shocks after each event ? How often would you do a full set up ? A friend has the Hudy Set Up Bed, its legend.

Definatly! People dont oil their shocks enough IMO. Re do them after every event, and change the O- rings after each season. Also, the uprated shock shafts give a much smoother movement.

Dont know what you mean about a full set up though, I just change the set up from one track to the next depending upon conditions and track layout - however I strip the car fully and re oil / grease everything after every meeting.

And yes, the Hudy set up system is the bees knees, as you can see in photo 1, my car is sat on one  Its worth getting but can be pricy at about £200, but you do get droop, ride height, toe, camber and castor gauges, plus a set up board :D

However, you can just get some flat MDF, machine some alloy with notches every mm to make a ride height gauge and buy the rest separate to save money :P

i know this is a little off topic but where is a good place to buy futaba servos from??

Excellent opertunity for me to plug:

Stockton Modeller, 01642 616 680. We do mail order stuff so can send stuff down to you.

Otherwise, if you want local shops near you try the "Shops" page on BRCA

HTH:thumbup:

Ps, if its for an RC nitro car, try HiTec ones instead - tested some at the last national and was very pleased with the responsivness of them, and they are about half the price of Futaba/KO Propo servos. Ill PM you the part numbers of mine tomorrow if you want?
