Aren't Xenon's Ace

Featured Replies

I'm glad I've not got them. I spent ten quid getting two bulbs changed on my Superb a week or two ago which was excellent.

Be it rare the bloke that was fitting them said Xenons cost

Several Furbies though :eek::eek:

Hell yeah, one of the better options.

My fabia is going back at the weekend to have its xenons checked, dont think they were set up properly at PDI. What is this legal limit to whict they can be set.

Do the 2006 year Octi Tour comes with Xenons? I'm waiting mine and looked on main lamps, extreme outsides (no markers) round type reflector, like a fish eye, are they xenons?

That won't help..

The MK I has projector Fogs at the extreme outside edges of the head light.

Xennons have tow projector lenses

The MK II everything has Projector dipped beams, so only way to find out is to strike them and see how they light up.

I have just fitted the new Philips Extreme bulbs and well for

my xenons (right hand drive) seem to have a nice horizontal line from right to centre then slightly left of the car they seem to slope in a 45 degree angle upwards, but the garage say that this is correct? is it?

on the mk1 Octy i think the headlights are fine. However, i had a bravo for a couple of years, and the headlights were really really poor. you could replace them with polyelliptical (projector) headlights from the fiat marea though, and most folk at the ownsers club did just that. also, the standard headlight was quite dangerous to try and fit HID's too, because of the poor beam deflection. the poly's were 10x better and quite suitable for HID's

While the police can and probably will pull over idiots with badly fitted HID's those fitted to projector type headlights shouldn't be any cause for alarm.

I replaced my standard bulbs with the Philips Bluevision, these IMO are better than xenons on my previous A4!
