Rumble in the.....

Featured Replies

........well from the front of the car actually. Noticed it yesterday. If going round a tight RH bend or r/about at a reasonable lick and then accelerate there's a 'rumbling' sound from the nearside front wheel area.

I've had a problem previously when the plastic inspection panel got damaged and started rubbing on the inside of the wheel. The noise is similar but poking around underneath everything is buttoned up ok.

So, what is it? Suspect wheel bearing? Car's now just turned 20k miles and there's no obvious drone at speed which would suggest a bearings on it's way. I'll get it in the air at the weekend and check the bearing for play but anyone got any other ideas.

Ta muchly.

Jimmy I've had this to going round right hand turns esp. tight roundabouts. I'm not too sure what it is but it only happens ocasionally and the first time I noticed it was 3 days after a service! I have had it in but not for that reason. Strangely wenough a bus I was on yesterday also made that noice and vibrated badly over the right rear.

Slow speed bumby corners knocking noise, any ideas.
