Stone chips on rear arch leading edge

Featured Replies

My Octy seems to suffer a bit from tiny little chips on the leading edge of the rear wheel arch, just between the rear dorr and the arch.

I have noticed on Mk2 Octy vRS (not sure of other models in the range) they come with plastic vinyl type protectors fitted to this very area - at least the one in West End's showroom had them.

Not sure if they have a technical term!

Anyhoo, I wondered if anyone else suffered from this as I am going to get a mate who does vinyl stuff to try and fabricate some up for me in clear vinyl, black as a second choice in keeping with my cars developing colourscheme.

Would folk be interested in these?

Cheers,

Steven.

I would be, sounds like a good idea. Have suffered a bit there, may have to go black, just to cover up what is left of the paint there.

Yep I would be interested. A few years ago my dad had an X-reg A4 which had a clear piece of vinyl there. It's about time Skoda caught up :P

3m sell sheets.

Just get some and make a template, cut it to size with a sharp craft knife, clean the area and apply it.

my mk2 octy elegance has this vinyl tape down there, so I guess its an at risk area.
