Thinking of selling - how much?

Featured Replies

Me and SWMBO are thinking of selling the VRS, but to be honest, dont know how much to ask for it.

Its a 2001 (51) Vrs and has done 41k. Full skoda service history from 1 garage since new. The car is like new in and outside.

Also has the usual 12 months left on the MOT and 6 months TAX.

Was thinking about

I'd say more in the region of £4500-£5000 tbh.

I think its worth more than that, the ones on the trader for under 5k (hardly any) would have lots more miles and probably poor condition.

Put it at £5,500ono?

My brother sold my old 2001(Y) reg with 54K on the clock 12 months ago for 5.5K, so I would also say between 4.5-5K. The new model is having a big impact on the mk1 prices.

@Liverpool-lad, I wonder if the ones on autotrader are actually selling though.

This ones on autotrader, and is a private sale near me.

Manual, 34000 miles, Full Service History. One owner from new. VRS model, Metallic Black, half leather. Climate control, 4 x electric windows and 6 CD changer. All in superb condition. Recent service, 7 Months Mot. £5,200.

Or this one.

02 reg. 66000 Miles, Silver, service history, 9mths MOT, 5mths Tax, excellent condition. £5,000. o.n.o

Slightly higher mileage, at a dealer.

Pretend you're buying a vauxhall, go to their used carsite and it gives free millage adjusted valuations from Glasses Guide.

That sort of condition and mileage i would advertise it at £ 5.5k and see what happens!
