vRS reliability

Featured Replies

Darth is just coming up to 30000 miles, during which time the beast has been thrashed to within an inch of its life on a regular basis (including trackdays - last Knockhill day got down to 7.8 mpg :eek:), and so far the list of faults have comprised of:

1 - wheel bearing (replaced under warranty)

Eh - that's it :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Well chuffed so far (touch wood :o:O)

Have to say mine has been excellent so far too (touch wood). I STILL have a knock on the steering despite having almost every part replaced, but other than that and a mucky MAF, I've had nothing go wrong which is nice!

im saying nothing yet as the MOT is due soon :D

I bought mine with 12k on the clock and its now coming up to its 60k service, so far its had:

1: one coilpack failure

2: cracked windscreen replaced under warrenty

and thats it.

mine now has 135.000 on the clock i`ve done the last 40 in 2 years and all i`ve had to repair is the anti roll bar drop links (i think thats what they was) and the standard recerculating valve other than that it`s still never misses a beat it`s by far the best car i`ve ever owned

Great cars, id get another one.

My first Octavia RS (02 model) didn't give too much trouble, sadly my current one (04 model) so far has had:

New steering rack (warranty)

Coolant bottle and sensor (warranty)

Window regulator drivers side (outside warranty)

Window regulator passenger side (outside warranty)

Central convenience unit & wiring loom (outside warranty)

ARB bushings are on the way out... needs sorting

Rattle from exhaust.... needs the jubilee clip fix doing

I still love the car though.

Mine is a 51 plate and from the service records has had nothing apart from its servicing.

Had the second MOT done and all it needs is some new front pads in 2kish time
