Talkin of bitchin cars my first motor was a maxi 1750 with reclining seats and a two channel stereo with presets and a tape deck and 14" wheels. (the car not the tape deck )

no, you pressed them and they moved the little red plastic bar with a thunk to the same predetermined place regardless of wether you was on mw or lw, so you either got radio 1 (when it was a radio station) or a crackly hissy noise and occaisionly a French bloke:D

Ahh we had one in the opal ascona that had presets on MW and LW, but they moved the red line up and down to a preset place too. I just know they said MW and LW on the last 2 of a total 6. Not sure how that worked

iirc mine had a seperate button to select between mw and lw
