Uregent help needed!!!!

Featured Replies

My CD Player has just arrived but how do I remove my radio cassette MS202?

Quick anyone know????

There are 2 slots in the front of the MS202, you need to cut up an old credit card or similar into strips that will fit in these slots. This will allow you to unlatch the head unit and pull it out.

This Link should help.

What can I do about the gaps :-( it fits fine but it is a different shape to the previous one, main problem is that its shorter and not as round at the front...

Unscrew it then?

Peter I wonder what you have removed, as far as I can remember the dash would be the same.

Yeah, it looks like that when you compare it to the cassette radio but when you push it back into the dashbord slot and it clicks into place it should look fine.

I did this swap over on SWMBO's Fabia and THIS is what it ended up looking like.

Well it clicked into place and its shorter than the original, but I've heard I can get a strip from any skoda dealer to cover up the half cm gap at the top. There is a small gap at the bottom because the cd player seems to be flatter than the old one (and therefore isnt flush with the dash).

The one I got is pictured below, the sounds is suprisingly good, even on the radio its far better than the old one. Any one know what model it is?

Yeah, that's different to the "Symphony" unit I fitted, I think that may be what's fitted to the Octavia ?

No doubt there will be someone here that recognises it. :)

That's not a standard Fabia radio afaik. That's possibly why it doesn't fit too well.

Well got the strip in and it all looks fine now :-) The radio is used but looks quite new and working well so now all I need todo is get the hands-free in!
