the turbo failures also depend on how the turbo has been treated , i.e. vehicle driven hard then the engine turned off without giving the turbo/oil time to cool down will shorten the life of the turbo , i'm on 47.5k without problems even after my Ring and Spa trip the other week , but i do have a spare turbo in the shed

the whistle is a steady pitch and volume from 2000rpm to 3000rpm. when i floor it down the streets people all look at me as they can hear the whistle aswell. someone asked me if i had tuned my engine but mine is standard. dealer said it came up wit no faults and quite a few 06 furbys make that whistle.
