Cheers.

Adrian.

Thanks Adrian, but I'm going to go get one locally.

I've not bought a helmet before, so I've got no idea what size I need to order. I thought I'd go and get measured, then make sure that the one I buy is comfy. I wear glasses too, so I need to take that into consideration.

It must feel a bit wierd driving with a lid on ...

Oddly it's not too bad, worse as a passenger when you head bounces of the window :D Case extreme of course ;)

It's really not to bad, open face I imagine is hardly any different atall...full face is noticed, but you adapt very quickly.

Colin - I do like your new Avatar... "PRARRPER JAAB!" :D:thumbup:

PS: I just found something else which I may get for a bit of styling...

Helmets aren't compulsary at Brunters (not sure if anyone thinks they are, just adding my 2p).

I used a tank of fuel in an afternoon (about 180 - 200 miles), but there's an Esso garage not too far away, and they're fine about you popping out for some Super unleaded (no Optimax d'oh) or even diesel (if you must drink from the smelly pump).

Sorry if I'm teaching you to suck eggs....... just trying to be helpful!

Helmets will be required for the day.

Pump fuel is soooooo last year...

i found it depends who your in the passenger seat of... i had a free pass for a couple of laps round one of silverstones training circuits once, went round for 5 laps of the track with the rally instructor in a 306 gti6, first corner comes, he swings the car out then back in, the tail steps out and my head (in helmet) bounces off the window. Next corner, same again, hairpin comes and the car was so sideways for so long i thought it was going to flip over, even the instructor laughed and said "that was close!"

good crack though...

Nigel, Similar to me then backwards in a TVR at 80MPH :D

Still the "man" caught it and kept it of the very damp wet grass :D

Was a very sureal and satisfying moment...

As to lids, Brunters is not easytrack, easytrack have there own rules above that of Bruntingthorpe, this means:

Helmets are compulsory for all people intending to drive or passenger. We can hire or sell you helmets (option selectable as you follow the online booking process) that will be waiting for you at the event. We do recommend specialised race overalls too, but understand these are not possible for all. It is compulsory to have both your arms and legs fully covered

We have 25 lids first come first served in the price of 90GBP, there are of course times, mainly as not everyone is out at the same time that it may be possible to swap/lend; however we cannot guarantee this will mean you will have a lid all or atall. We will sort the 25lids, if you do not have one and cannot justify one then one of the 25 lids will be an option. We are all similar sizes afterall, at least in the head area...going now as it's getting increasingly difficult not to compromise oneself with the words lid, head and helmet in one sentance... ;)

Not doing any mods to the wifes car apart from putting an instructor in the passenger seat.

As seen as it's only done 3k miles there should be plenty on the tyres and brakes.

No mods for me either :D

One completely boggo standard SDI for you all to overtake :D
