Featured Replies

Anyone have any experience or opinions of the C320 Avantgarde mercedes?

thinking of changing cars and have been offered one at a nice price.

Never driven one but I think the year of manufactor is a key thing.... there was a certain year (2004?) when Merc suddenly decided that build quality was important and ploughed a load of cash into trying to improve their repuatation which was starting to take a battering in the surveys.

I believe that cars made before this point were riddled with build quality issues.

I know a colleagues husband had one (52 plate) and is was at the dealers every month with silly things such as creaking drivers seat, major dash rattles etc..... not an isolated case from what I understand.

There is someone on here, who drives a Merc and is also known to know quite a bit about Radio 2 and Radio 4... :P

SWMBO's dad had a C270 CDI for a while.

It was pleasantly brisk , had a nice well assembled interio and looked good.

The rear wasn't all that spacious - less room than an Octy2 - and headroom wasn't stunning either.

It's a decent car but it would depend on how good a price you've been offered. At normal prices you can probably get a better car for the cash

if petrol walk away. c320 is only 218hp was replaced by 275hp c350 in late 04....

if diesel chip it to 280hp and spend all day teaching fabias some basics about boys and toys.

The dealers are utter ****. Whatever you own.

And the one I use is the best in the UK for customer services.

My dad has an '03 C180 Kompressor and hasnt had any problems with it
