Well, finally took the plunge, and ended up buying myself the octavia i went to look at. It's a MK1 Vrs, in Black Magic, absolutely mint, and i'm as giddy as a schoolgirl with my new purchase...!!!:orb_runni

I thought that after owning an Impreza turbo for a few years, that i might be a bit dissapointed, but everything on the Octavia is what i expected. Better build quality, nicer ride, and although i don't have the out and out acceleration of the Impreza, the 1.8 Turbo is not exactly slow...!!!

So, a big hello to all my fellow Vrs owners and enthusiasts, no doubt once the warranty is up, i'll be picking your brains for modding tips...!!!

Finally, just a wee question...??? Do Vrs owners give each other customary waves in passing??? I always used to wave at other Impreza owners, and its was nice to get a wee wave back, camaraderie and all that...!!!

welcome to the forum. Octys arn't quite as common as imprezas so you may not get so many waves.

you 've got a nice colour there but its a pig to keep clean.

I gave up waving after getting endless blank looks so I only wave/flash people I know to be on here now.

Nice one mate! Know how you feel i picked up my mk1 vrs in black magic last weekend and im well impresssed with it! Though last night temp gauge stopped woking! hopefully just the sender!

i have flashed (lights!) a few other people coming the opposite way on a long trip up north, but think the guy infront of me in the mondeo wanted to batter me after that trip! so i passed him.....!!
