A bentley was a bit out of my league to be honest

but could of bought a scooby but as there seriously common, tacky and not as fast and reliable as some people would have you believe i decided to buy a decent a car instead and make it better and more individual,my mods may not be to your taste and you may think its daft spending money on it but as i can afford it and it makes me happy by doing it then i don't see why its a problem,we can't all be boring now can we:D

here here.
Are you the same Corradoboy as on scoobynet

One and the same

Will be getting another Scoob one day though :D

I thought Bengie's turbo was knackered back then.

yep, but according to his gauge it was still making the appropriate boost. dunno if that makes a difference

from what i remember (the launch caused me some camera issues:o) , the wrx was simply quicker - it slowly, but surely simply drove away

The next best mod you can do in a Scoob is to learn to drive properly.

I'd say the best mod you can do in any car is learn to drive properly.

I reckon a decent driver is worth more than a power advantage any day.

Ive been reading this thread with much amusement. Beats me how you think subarus are common and skodas are not. They look a hell of a nicer, they dont have an ugly rear end. Handling and performance is in another league completely to any tuned vrs.

The amount of aftermarket parts that are available is just silly. Prodrive, swrt, sti actually care about motorsport influenced customers. Whereas skoda couldnt give a toss about the vrs range. Stick a badge on a car, subtle bodykit, make it a bit faster on a FWD system lol. I remember a few years back when I complained about the lack of vrs aftermarket parts for the octavia rs and all they had to offer was a few tshirts and caps. The social scene for subaru clubs is massive if thats your sort of thing and the vast majority are everyday car fans, not c**vs.

Every day I see a vag car, the worst being golfs and audi a3's, the ultimate c**v mobile.

I try not to take all this internet stuff to serious but it baffles me when I see comparisons drawn between cars that are in totally different leagues.

Anyway im off to bed, im on a journey on thursday to buy my SUBARU GTB...

Yes, the vRS is a few classes below the Subaru, but it is nice to compare, a Family car to a Sports Saloon.

If I neede a new(er) Impreza now, I think I'd go stealth. Maybe a nice green WRX wagon with front mount, de-scooped and visited by that nice Mr Forrest or Mr Rawle.

:)

Parts prices though... Just been quoted

Mr Rawle.

Now there is a man who knows his onions and done some excellent mapping of a couple of friend's cars!
