Dodge Caliber...

Featured Replies

My Sister is currently on the look-out for one of these. She's recently been looking at the Caliber SXT 1.8. Any advice on these, or has anyone driven them?

interesting, the 2l diesel engine is supplied by vw

personally dont like the looks of em and imagine depreciation will b quite bad.

the diesel version looks quite nippy and is lower ig then the fabia vrs

I would prefer her to go for the Diesel engine aswell. Out of the box it might not be quick, but as it's a VAG Diesel engine, I'm sure a little mapping can be had.

It's a dodge, which is american.

American cars don't drive the best anywhere other than on straight flat roads of the US.

Very nice looking outside and priced very competitively , but an abysmally plasticy interior that put me right off.

If you do go for one then the diesel is the better option.

personnaly I like the look of them but as with monsieur Zoidberg, The interior plastics are terrible if she is used to european (and even the shiny japanese) quality.

Thanks mate. She will need a car with a very nice interior which will be somewhat similiar in size and price to the Caliber. But struggling, and running out of options.

A Skoda roomster is not one of her favourites...

I sat in one a little while ago ...talk about back to the 70s

i will be driving one as a hire car in florida in august i just hope its better than the 300c i had last year.

Thats the first time ive saw the inside of one of these....all I can say is 'Yuck' (Imagine how that sounds , coming from a Skoda driver!)

Yep , it's not good.

First time I sat in one I was seeing what the plastics felt like and scratched it with my fingernail and left a mark that wouldn't rub off. Ooops

It's a shame as it really is so much cheaper than most of the competion that they could add a grand to the price to pay for a nicer interior and still sell plenty.

binky is right..... it just made me wet my pants.... but not in a good way....

Looks like someone did a Photoshop of the centre console - and a bad one at that regarding the choice of colour :thumbdwn:

+ as is common with so many Yanks they are SO in your face :thumbdwn: again

Have you seen the new Chrysler Sebring Convertible - it's a reskinned VW EOS (with VW engines obvioulsly)

Check out the VAG group electric window buttons and the ubiquitous DUAL-ZONE controls (wonder if they have the OFF button enabled?)

I know it has the 2.0tdi and some of the minor trim , but I didn't think the whole car was just a re-skin

OMG, is that a draining board on the bonnet?

Well if I was VW I would be suing for copyright infringement:

Its what they call a design signature:
