A while back there was a thread asking the question if Race Blue would become common and today I can confirm that it has!. Within the space of just 10 minutes I saw two hatchbacks and one estate then a little later in the day I spotted yet another one!!

Personally I'd go for Sprint Yellow but SWMBO would not allow it! :(

PS. If anyone mentions Maxidot or Xenons I shall scream

yeah notice a few blue ones today and the first silver vrs so far which looks so much better imho.

Sorry but i have to agree, blue is all i see, apart from mine, which is black (and i'm no rep) Even my local dealer will only stock the blue ones, so that must say something!!

At least the Race blue colour makes it easier to spot fellow vRS owners out on the road, not that i see many up here!

I have seen 2 yellow ones and they look nice and would have been my choice but the wife would have gone spare!

I hear that the race blue really sets off the blue glow coming from the maxidot display and the blue tinge from the xenon lights :P

I see race blue everywhere, so I would say it is fairly common these days.

As I said, I'd have yellow as it's a co. car so residuals are not a worry but the wife would kill me!

As far as options go, I'd stick with what I have - namely 18" alloys, Jumbo Box, cruise control and one other thing which escapes me....

.....oh yes, Maxidot!!

My Race Blue vRS has left the factory (with maxidot but no xenons:()

As recorded in the 'who's got a MkII vRS' thread; at the 120 mark, 60 of them are Race Blue - e.g. 50%.

Around me, I've seen a race blue saloon, a black estate and a silver saloon.

It will soon be plus one in race blue, once mine arrives. I just like the colour. I think it's because I always wanted a rally blue Impreza, but couldn't afford to run it (40,000 miles a year would virtually bankrupt me with the fuel cost).

I did like the red, though, on the demonstrator we borrowed.

Ironically, I've got a black vRS, yet up the road, less than a mile from my house, there is another black vRS! I've got Maxidot and Xenons, but I'm not sure whats on the one up the road from me.

Sorry I should have been more explicit, the more exclusive of the two best colours for a VRs.

If I wanted true exclusivity then it would have to be candy white or sprint yellow. I'm not quite brave enough for the latter and the former seems hard to obtain.

if you want a red one Crawley Down group have a choice of 2 ex-demos one hatch one estate. Personally I think black is the new black. Can't go wrong...
