Potentially interested, but also would like to know the difference in bonnet height.

Any idea of the cost of shipping to Ireland ?

GAFF, I can't say for sure, as I don't know the kit's exact weight.

The kit comprises the following:

1x LIFTOMAT (the gas strut)

2x ball joint sockets

2x spacers

1 x self locking nut (8mm)

2x locking pins for ball joints

1x mounting rail

1x instructions!

and the packaging for that lot

SHIPPING COSTS FOR UK / EUROPE

Your guess is as good as mine - but I think they will be less than 1kg each, on eBay the P&P for similar kits to Europe seem to be about £6.50 (and that includes packing costs aswell).

So if it weighs:

500g-1,000g

£1.92 to £2.30 UK SECOND CLASS

£3.85 STANDARD UK PARCELS

£3.88 to £5.88 AIRMAIL

1kg-1.5kg

£4.95 STANDARD UK PARCELS

£5.88 to £8.38 AIRMAIL

Excellent! - worth scoping out the german forums for pictures then :D

TallioN has done us proud and has supplied not only measurements BUT photos aswell.

Thank you very much TallioN ! :bowdown1:

The aperture is 1.1m or 110 cm

That's more than adequate.

I wanted to make sure it wasn't silly low so I would smack my head every time I check the oil (every few days most probably) :D

I'm 6'3" and didn't want to have to kneel to get under the bonnet

Excellent photos by the way

Am I the only one with the compulsion to keep cleaning that bit above the number plate that the bonnet usually hides? :o

I always clean there, and inside the bonnet, engine bay, door shuts, boot etc. Don't like to leave anything. You can eat your dinner off my engine (if you so desire :D)

By the way, the bonnet is currently 119cm so not much difference really.

You are welcome guys :)

P.S. next time before making photos for Briskoda I promise you to clean my car everywhere! :birthday:

I always used to give the door shuts and the like a good cleaning but not every time.:o

I was only pulling yer leg :D

The rest of the car is nice and clean though

I'll take one!

Can you put me down as a maybe (if that okay).

ooh, excellent I go away and come back and there are customers :D

So everyone is happy, the buy will only go ahead if the price and spec is OK with everyone at the end of the "feeler period"

Some people were probably away on Half-term hols last week (some may still be away) - so I think I will try to confirm all interest say end of next week (14th of June) - then get a firm price for whatever order volume has been met.

Then I need to work out how to get paid :o

Anyway here is today's list:

1) VRS195 (me!)

2) Vimto2000

3) Jonno VRs

4) dstev2000

5) dstev2000 SWMBO

6) gillywibble

:paypal: Maybe???

Most people have a PayPal account these days.

It'll make my life easy so sod the rest of yer

Either that or a bank transfer?

I have a big pile of old Top Gear magazines, can we trade? :D

No

No

A pile of well thumbed magazines doesn't appeal then?

Or the top gear ones for that matter? :P

Is that a no to all of my bright ideas per chance?

Ideas gladly received - wood pulp isn't.

I have just recently quit (well car mags anyway ;) ) - fire hazard apparently :(

Now they are strictly disposable (I am only allowed 1 copy of each title)

When I cleared out the loft there were 14 HUGE boxes of magazines (had to empty them one at a time to get them out the loft  ):

CAR odds and sods.

FAST LANE (do you remember that? - from 1989 'til no more).

Top Gear (From Edition 1).

Autocar (from July 1987 - before they were Autocar+Motor and back to Autocar).

WhatCar odd and sods.

some odd, almost A3 broadsheet sized magazines, called "Carweek" printed on toilet paper quality paper from the early 90s.

Performance Car (from 1992 - Clarkson's old stomping ground - resurected as EVO).

oh and EVO (obviously).

Needless to say, I cried at the ceremony (at the local tip) as they made their way serenely into the recycler.

Having said that, if I hadn't bought them I dread to think what the saved money could have bought instead - a loft extension probably :o .

Well I was only quoted £30 Euros to ship then to UK - and that was for 40x (80kg  )

They may round to the next nearest KG, I suppose?

Also if you look at eBay for similar packs they only charge about £6 to ship internationally - I would be surprised if they were subsidised (most people make money on the P&P)

I know - I will ask RSD how much they weight and the cost to send one  ha ha

Going on their Pricing scheme....will probably be double the cost! :finger:

Just waiting to hear back from Danny Withrow at RSD - he is going to weigh a pack and email me the weight of one unit.

He said they would charge £2.50!! - that sounds too low - but to be honest at £88 a piece they should hand deliver it 9:00am nextday for FREE.

I will await his email, then we will know for sure.

I don't want to skupper the GB by having to add too much postage, nor do I want to charge you lot £2.50 and then have to subsidise the GB when I find it costs £6.50 to send  .

Hmph, 88 squids (+P&P) is quite a lot isn't it :( SWMBO won't wear that price

46 odd quid sounded palatable but I don't think that is going to happen is it :thumbdwn:
