Welcome to Briskoda. Good to see more people enjoying the benefits of the great 1.4 16v lump. I loved my time with one.

I am from Slovenija near Austria, Italy... I have found great engine tuner from Czech Republik, he asked me how many HP do I want to get from 1.4 16V - I said to him 150 HP would be great- :eek: he said back to me oh only 150 it is not a problem. Look at his reply to my mail " About engine - I can make more than 190HP from this engine, but very inportant is, what you want change. We can make it with different Engine managemant system, conrods, pistons, exchaust and so on. But.

If you want only :eek: 150HP we can rebuild your engine with standart Electronic system, I will use only forget pistons for higher compression ratio - price approximatelly 450,- EUR, remake your standart conrods - 150,- EUR, remake of cylinder head and valves - price approximatelly 450,- EUR, dyno testing and setting of elektronic - 650,- EUR. Totally it could be approximatelly 1700 - 2300,- EUR.

lol - sounds good Ondi, but it sounds a lot cheaper for the diesels to increase to 150BHP... A big for trying to squeeze anything really big out of the 1.4 block though.

For tuning parts / info, you may want to contact Erik@AAT. If I remember correctly he has kits to take the 1.4 16v to about 220. You could PM him on this board.

They do indeed. About 225bhp if I remember correctly and 12,000rpm! :eek: Was thinking about it myself until the vRS came out.
